Mikumi National Park

Mikumi National Park, located in southern Tanzania, is one of the country’s most accessible and popular safari destinations. Covering an area of approximately 3,230 square kilometers, it is the fourth-largest national park in Tanzania and part of the greater Selous ecosystem. The park is often referred to as a smaller Serengeti due to its stunning landscapes and abundant wildlife.

Location and Accessibility: Mikumi is located about 283 km west of Dar es Salaam, making it one of the easiest parks to reach from Tanzania’s largest city.
The park is easily accessible by road, with a drive of approximately 4-5 hours from Dar es Salaam, or by chartered flights.
