Day 1: Nalemoru Gate (1990m) to Simba Camp (2625m)

The trek kicks off with a gentle walk through vibrant farmland and towering pine forests. The pinnacle of your expedition “Summit Day.” Begin your ascent under a star-studded sky around midnight. The climb is long and demanding, but every step brings you closer to the roof of Africa. Passing Hans Meyer Cave at 5220m, the sun rises as you reach the breathtaking crater rim at Gillman’s Point (5681m). The final push to Uhuru Peak, Kilimanjaro’s highest point at 5895m, rewards you with triumph and awe-inspiring vistas stretching across the African continent. Descend to Kibo Hut for a warm meal and brief respite before continuing down to the welcoming comfort of Horombo Hut.
